Vietnamese students scoop medals at int'l science competition

A delegation of six Vietnamese students has won three silver and three bronze medals at an international science competition in South Africa, according to Hanoi's education department.

This is the highest achievement that Vietnamese students have made in the four times they attended the International Junior Science Olympiad, the Hanoi's Department of Education and Training said.

According to the department, this year nearly 600 students from 46 countries and territories worldwide attended the annual contest for students under age 15.

The contest was held in Durban from December 5 -10 and challenged contestants in the competitions of physics, chemistry and biology.
