The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training announced Wednesday it will begin checking 12 foreign-invested schools this month, Phap Luat (Law) newspaper reported.
The inspection will last from January 26 to March 31.
The schools are American International School, British Vietnamese International School, Australian International School, Ho Chi Minh City International School, Horizon International Bilingual School, Saigon South International School, Lawrence S.Ting School, Renaissance International School, Canadian International School, APU International School, International School Saigon Pearl and Singapore International School.
The city's education officials will look into the schools’ infrastructure, equipment, teaching and learning curricula, fire prevention and fighting, security, working conditions and labor policies, paper archive and educational transparency.
The department said the inspection results will decide if it will have to make the schools comply with regulations or not.
