Work has begun on a petroleum testing and research center in Ho Chi Minh City.
The US$51.13 million center, invested in by Vietnam Petroleum Institute, is expected to provide petrol sample analysis services, the Saigon Tiep Thi said in a report Monday.
Spread over more than 41,000 square meters at the Saigon Hi-tech Park, the center will comprise offices, a laboratory, a research lab, a store and a treatment plant.
Saigon Petroleum Construction and Investment JSC is the contractor for the project that is expected to be completed in two years.
The center is the seventh testing and experiment facility set up by the institute.
