One of the works to celebrate Hanoi's millennial anniversary, a VND200-billion (US$10.3 million) building dedicated to the arts and sciences, was inaugurated Monday.

The Intellectual Building covers a total area of 6,668 square meters and includes one three-floor block and one 15-floor block.

Phi Thai Binh, vice chairman of investor Hanoi People's Committee, said, the building will provide work space for some 1,500 people and will serve as headquarters and offices for scientific, artistic and intellectual organizations.

At the moment, many such groups operating in Hanoi have experienced difficulty finding a place to establish their head offices, according to Binh.
