Noi Hanoi or Speak Hanoi, the daring spoken word series, which gives writers of all kinds the chance to share their work, will return to Hanoi on February 26 featuring "Appetites" as this month's theme.

Poets, writers, storytellers and other assorted wordsmiths are all invited to speak their mind as they explore the implications of hunger, desire, and all the other connotations the word "appetite" conjures.

According to a press release from Noi Hanoi, the motivation behind the event is to bring together Hanoi's diverse community of poets, short fiction writers, bloggers, essayists and creative composers of text messages.

With the goal of cross cultural exchange, Noi Hanoi is open to writers of any language, whether they be aspiring, amateur or professional.

Each spoken word event encourages audience participation and reserves time for a brief open mic session in both English and Vietnamese.

This month's Noi Hanoi will take place at 8 p.m. at CAMA ATK Bar, 73-A Mai Hac De Street, Hanoi. Entrance is free.
