The USA Higher Education Spring Fair will return to Ho Chi Minh City on Friday, aiming to connect more than 50 universities with prospective students.
The annual event will provide visitors with an opportunity to meet official representatives of accredited US colleges and universities and learn more about visa procedures, financial aid and scholarship opportunities, organizers said.
The fair will be held from 3 p.m. at GEM Center, 8 Nguyen Binh Khiem, District 1.
Following the event, there will be a conference on the US higher education system at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Science on Saturday. The conference is hoped to serve as a platform for US and Vietnamese public officials, university administrators and the business community to exchange views on higher education.
According to the Institute of International Education, the number of Vietnamese students in the US this year increased by 12.9 percent compared to last year, with nearly 19,000 students.
Vietnam now tops Southeast Asian countries and ranks ninth among countries with the most students in the US.
