Vietnam on Sunday launched the biggest and most modern tanker ever produced by the country in the central province of Quang Ngai.
The crude oil tanker has a 104,000-ton capacity and has been checked by Vietnam Register and American Bureau of Shipping as meeting international quality.
Dung Quat Shipyard, the tanker producer in Quang Ngai Province, is perfecting its technical features.
PetroVietnam Transportation Corp., controlled by state-owned oil company PetroVietnam, will put the boat into use in March 2012.
Dung Quat Shipyard is planning to launch another tanker with a capacity of 105,000 tons at the end of 2012.
