Vietnam's rice exports in the first two months of this year will soar 63 percent from the same period last year to an estimated 1.19 million tons, the government estimated on Friday.

The General Statistics Office estimated January-February's rice export revenue would also rise 49.8 percent from the first two months of 2010 to $612 million.

Vietnam has sufficient rice stocks to export between 6 million and 6.5 million tons this year, thanks to ample supply from the Mekong Delta, a state-run newspaper reported, about 8 percent higher than earlier estimates.
