Vietnam experts, officials to discuss 2012 economy

The European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam will hold a conference later this month reflecting experts and officials' forecast on Vietnam and the world economy in 2012.

For the first time in Vietnam, scholars, economists, high-ranking government officials and top CEOs will discuss and forecast the socioeconomic trend and scenario for the world and Vietnam at the conference on December 17.

Participants will discuss solutions for three matters regarding Vietnam's businesses in 2012, including Vietnam's commodities, capital sources and restructuring.

"The World & Vietnam: Forecast 2012" conference will be held to celebrate the publishing of the Vietnamese version of "The World in 2012 of The Economist."

The event is sponsored by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Vietnam CEO Corp., and will be accompanied with a cocktail reception on December 16 and golf tournament December 18, which costs VND3.2 million (US$152) and VND4.2 million (US$200) respectively.

The conference at Sofitel Plaza in Hanoi costs VND4.2 million. EuroCham members will receive a 20 percent discount to attend all of the events.
