Vietnam coffee exports may rise to 130,000 tons this month

Vietnam, the world's biggest producer of robusta coffee, may export 130,000 metric tons in July, according to figures released Thursday by the General Statistics Office in Hanoi, more than double than in the same period last year.

Exports in the first seven months of the year were estimated at 1.18 million tons, up 27 percent from a year earlier. The nation exported 141,000 tons in June, 12 percent lower than a previous assessment of 160,000 tons, revised figures from the Statistics Office show.

Vietnam exported 53,000 tons in July last year, according to preliminary GSO data.
