National carrier Vietnam Airlines said on Thursday that its total revenues for 2010 will reach VND36.3 trillion, nearly double last year.
The carrier has received more passengers than expected this year, it said.
Chief Executive Officer Pham Ngoc Minh said pretax profit was estimated at VND350 billion (US$18 million).
The number of passengers will reach 12.3 million, up 33.7 percent from last year and 13.2 percent higher than the target set for 2010, he said.
He said that the carrier's investment in Cambodia Angkor Air has fetched returns of $0.7 million in 2010.
Vietnam Airlines plans to expand its investment to Laos and Myanmar, Minh said.
