Troubled finance, property markets not hiring for high-rank posts

Embattled business in finance, banking, real estate, and construction plan to hire far fewer high-ranking employees this year, a new survey found.

A survey by Ho Chi Minh City-based human resource management company Anphabe said most businesses currently have a surplus of high-ranking personnel, the Thoi Bao Kinh Te Saigon reported Monday.

It said the information technology sector will also recruit fewer people for high-rank positions due to the current surplus.

Yet more high-rank personnel will be needed in consumer products and pharmaceutical operations, manufacturing, education, healthcare, and tourism, according to the survey.

More than half of the 3,361 surveyed employees with at least three years experience also said they were seeking other jobs for better rewards.

The survey said most of the new job seekers are working in the finance sectors.
