The Mövenpick Hotel Saigon will re-open on August 1 after a five-month closure for renovation.

Besides a new look and new amenities, the renovation has also made the hotel, which is a member of the Swiss Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts group, become more eco-friendly with power-saving engineering systems including a cooling system run on recycled rainwater from the hotel roof, a press release says.

Prior to the re-opening, the hotel will cooperate with its sister establishment in Hanoi to organize the second annual charity golf tournament this Saturday in the capital city.

Held for the benefit of Heartbeat Vietnam, an organization which funds life-saving heart surgeries for disadvantaged children, the competition will be held at King's Island Golf Club, Hanoi's oldest golf facility.

Other sponsors of the event include Porsche and Archi Reenco Hoa Binh Company.
