Retail giant Lotte is promoting Vietnamese and Indonesian goods in a special event at 11 Lotte Mart outlets in South Korea between November 11 and 16, according to the company.
The Vietnamese goods fair introduces high-quality Vietnamese and Indonesian goods to South Korean customers and creates opportunities for exporters of these countries to enter the market, the company's press release said.
This is the first time the Lotte Mart chain organized a foreign goods promotion campaign.
More than 170 products from Vietnam and Indonesia are on display at the fair, part of which are on sale with a 25 percent price discount, the release said.
Among the Vietnamese product highlighted are G7 Coffee, usually known as Vietnam Starbucks coffee, dry cashews and Pho, the traditional rice noodle soup.
Lotte hopes the event will inspire Vietnamese producers to continue to improve their product quality to reach domestic and worldwide customers, the press release said.
Lotte is expected to increase a Vietnamese goods turnover in its South Korea-based chain to between 3 percent and 5 percent from 1 percent, and soon bring Vietnamese products to its outlets in other countries such as China, Indonesia and India.
