Lazada Vietnam, part of Lazada Group which operates Southeast Asia’s number one online shopping mall, on Thursday celebrated its third anniversary with the milestone of 500,000 customers.
The company reported that in 2014 it grew by more than five times from 2013, with 300,000 items of 13 categories sold.
As of the end of 2014, Lazada Vietnam partnered with 1,500 retailers, the firm said in a statement.
Alexandre Dardy, CEO of Lazada Viet Nam, said his company would increase the range of products and improve delivery services in the coming time.
To celebrate its third birthday, the company will launch a promotion from March 24 to 26 with discounts of 10 percent on all products.
Lazada Group has seen rapid growth since its launch in March 2012. The company now has more than 4,000 employees across the Southeast Asia region and has raised funds of roughly €520 million (US$563 million) from leading investors including Temasek, Tesco, JP Morgan, Kinnevik and Rocket Internet.
