South Korea's Bujeon Electronics on March 23 began construction of a factory that will make components for mobile phones and LCD TVs in Vietnam's northern province of Thai Nguyen, news website Vietnamplus reported Friday.

It is expected to cost around US$10 million and will be built on six hectares of land, half of which has been earmarked for a workers' dormitory.

The factory will have a designed capacity of around 500 productions per year.

The first of its three plants will start operating in November this year.
