Payroll service provider KCS Vietnam marked its one-year anniversary of operations on Thursday by launching a new accounting and bookkeeping service.

KCS Limited, one of Asia's leading providers of corporate accounting, corporate secretarial, payroll outsourcing and trust and estate administration services, entered the Vietnam market in June 2010 with the acquisition of the payroll services division of Navigos Group.

At the KCS anniversary celebrations in Ho Chi Minh City, KCS Group CEO Tom Corkhill said the decision to expand into Vietnam was based on the country's increasing popularity as a destination for business and investment for overseas firms.

"We go where our clients go and they are coming to Vietnam," Mr. Corkhill told the event.

With offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, KCS Group can help businesses enter and operate in the exciting emerging market of Vietnam, ensuring compliance with local regulations as well as business continuity in a market that experiences a relatively high rate of employee turnover.

As a specialist in its field, KCS Group can save company management the headaches of coming to grips with Vietnam's business rules and regulations and ensure the local firm or representative office remains compliant with local laws.

KCS was formed from the corporate services division of auditing and tax advisory company KPMG HK and China and Grant Thornton HK, which specialize in auditing, management consulting, corporate finance and risk management.

KCS Limited's Vietnam operations began with 10 employees and has expanded to 30 in just a year. By the end of this year, the two Vietnam offices will have a combined staff of 40, with more personnel to be hired throughout 2012.

At the anniversary celebrations, Mr. Corkhill also congratulated KSC Vietnam Director Winnie Lam on her appointment as the president of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam.

Previously, Ms. Winnie Lam headed the Human Resources Advisory Services of Navigos Group. "Winnie is considered one of the leading experts in the Vietnam labor market," Mr. Corkhill said. "I believe under Winnie's leadership, KCS Vietnam is well positioned to build, preserve and maintain successful business relationships in the community."

As well as its operations in Vietnam, KCS has offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Jakarta, Sydney and The British Virgin Islands (BVI), offering localized expertise to guide business in these rapidly growing competitive markets.
