Low-cost carrier Jetstar Pacific announced Sunday it will expand its fleet to 15 aircraft by 2015, nearly triple the current figure.
The airline is now operating five Boeing and one Airbus aircraft for 40 domestic flights every day. It plans to replace all Boeing planes with new Airbus A320s.
Jetstar Pacific will receive one Airbus A320 by the end of October this year as it expects more passengers in the 2011 New Year season.
The low-cost carrier served more than a million passengers in the first six months on 9,063 flights, according to a Vietnam Economic Times report.
Around 90 percent of the passengers bought low-cost tickets. The airline also offers higher class tickets.
