The Vietnam Business Information Forum 2011 will be held in Hanoi next month to help international and local enterprises explore business opportunities and promote their projects, organizers said.
The forum, organized by the Vietnam Federation of UNESCO Associations and Vietnam Association of Corporate Directors (VACD), is expected to attract more than 300 local enterprises from various industries including finance and banking, telecommunication, retail, education and tourism.
Han Manh Tien, president of VACD, said at a press briefing last week that one of the main goals of the business forum is to support Vietnamese enterprises in improving their management skills and to facilitate investment and cooperation.
He also said the forum will also assist foreign investors who are looking for business opportunities in Vietnam, an emerging market with many advantages including stable growth and policy environment. Tien's association groups over 300 members, mainly corporate leaders.
The event, described as "one of the largest ever rallies of business community in Vietnam in 2011", will be held at the National Convention Center on August 19-20. It is organized within the framework of the 8th World Congress of the World Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centers and Associations in Hanoi.
The congress, which will run from August 18 to 22, will also include various cultural events.
