Retail gasoline prices in Vietnam were reduced by between 4.2 and 4.9 percent at the request of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade on Tuesday.
Vietnam's most popular gasoline grade 92-RON now sells at VND17,232 (77 cents) per liter.
Meanwhile, the bio-fuel grade E5, which has been heavily promoted by the government, is priced at VND16,737 (75 cents) per liter.
The new prices of diesel and kerosene are VND13,513 and VND12,523 per liter, respectively, down 2.7 percent and 3.6 percent.
This year gasoline prices in Vietnam have been adjusted 15 times, including six hikes.
