Beverage giant Coca-Cola has launched a program in Vietnam to support underprivileged households and help them enjoy the upcoming Lunar New Year, the Year of the Cat.
The program, "Happy Tet Holiday with Coca-Cola", was carried out in Hanoi, Da Nang, Quang Binh and Ho Chi Minh City, the company said in a statement.
It said 700 gift packs valued at more than VND230 million were given to poor families as well as those affected by natural disasters.
Coca-Cola said the initiative is inspired by and part of the "Tet for the Poor" program which it has maintained for four years.
"This is a display of traditional mutual affection and Coca-Cola's responsibility to the community," the company said.
