Eight leading Australian firms are visiting Ho Chi Minh City from Tuesday to Sunday seeking opportunities for water development in Vietnam.
The first such mission organized by the Australian Trade Commission will explore opportunities in Vietnam's water sector, including water management, sanitation and infrastructure.
As part of the visitors' program, a three-day conference on Vietnam's water development priorities will be held in conjunction with the World Bank.
Australian firms are internationally recognized for their technical skills in the water sector.
Vietnam's Mekong Delta has benefited from a number of their projects, including the Three Towns Delta Water Supply and Sanitation Project, which is delivering clean water to more than 280,000 people in the Mekong Delta.
A seminar on Australian expertise in water management, sanitation and infrastructure was held in the city on Tuesday.
