US telecommunication giant AT&T has named Vietnam as the most promising market in the Southeast Asia region, Singapore-based Channel News Asia said in a report Friday.

The company is seeing strong growth in Vietnam and is capitalizing on increased business activity in the country by building up communications infrastructure, the report said.

AT&T extended its business to Vietnam in 2006 through an agreement with local company Viettel, offering networking services to multinational enterprise customers, the US firm said in a statement on its website.
