The American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Vietnam is organizing a talk in Ho Chi Minh Cith next month on ways business leaders can increase the engagement of their workforce.
Sponsored by Towers Watson, a professional services company, the Engagement Indicator Survey 2011 Briefing will discuss how to make a business' workforce fully commit their energy, knowledge and creativity.
The company research uncovers insights that help companies shape a high-performance culture, improve the return on talent investments, set actionable priorities and help drive measurable business results, an AmCham newsletter says.
The research indicates that engaged employees reduce the cost of recruiting, hiring, training and developing, while increasing productivity.
Dr. Brent Ruge, head of Employee Survey of Towers Watson in Southeast Asia, will be the only speaker. There will be space for questions and answers after the briefing that lasts from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm on February 16 at New World Hotel Saigon in District 1.
Members are charged US$30 for the event while non-members have to pay $40. Participants have to register online for the event.
In other news, from March 11 to 14, AmCham will launch the Vietnam International Furniture & Home Accessories Fair at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center, 766 Nguyen Van Linh Parkway, District 7, HCMC.
Local and overseas manufacturers will exhibit a wide range of products including living room, bedroom, dining room and bathroom furniture as well as outdoor and office furniture.
