More than 200 researchers and practitioners from around the world are attending a three-day conference on sustainable manufacturing in the southern province of Binh Duong.
The 13th Global Conference on Sustainable Manufacturing, from September 16-18, offered keynote speeches, panel discussions with parallel sessions on sustainable approaches and presented benchmark solutions from companies.
The conference, hosted by the Vietnamese-German University, also focused on practical solutions in the fields of sustainability in fashion, technology and innovation management, industrial development and urban sustainability, and sustainable business model strategies in the manufacturing industry.
With regard to Vietnam, some solutions and practices such as resource efficiency, recycling and re-manufacturing, innovative business models and examples for industrial symbiosis have been discussed.
The conference is expected to give the participants a holistic view on technological opportunities which can foster prosperity through global collaboration and competition.
