The world-famous Katona Twins guitar duo will give a free concert at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music on September 27.
Zoltán and Peter Katona, who were born in Hungary but are now based in Germany and England, will perform nine compositions, from pieces by Bach to modern songs of the Beatles.
Critically acclaimed by the Daily Telegraph as “the classical world’s best known guitar duo”, Peter and Zoltan effortlessly transfer from strictly classical into more popular musical genres.
They have given recitals in major concert venues throughout the world including performances at the Carnegie Hall in Amsterdam, the Konzerthaus in Vienna, and the Suntory Hall in Tokyo, and the Philharmonie in Cologne.
In 2009, as the soloists of the "Night of the Proms" they performed live to half a million people in arenas across Europe.
The concert at the HCMC Conservatory of Music, 112 Nguyen Du Street, District 1, will start at 7 p.m. on September 27.
