The southern beach town of Vung Tau will host the first international food and wine festival in Vietnam next month, which will also feature
a carnival, local news website Vnexpress said Sunday.
The festival will last for five days from July 21-25, presenting cuisine, culture, shopping and resort services from more than 80 countries, territories as well as Vietnam's 63 cities and provinces, VnExpress on Sunday quoted Ho Van Nien, vice chairman of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province.
Traditional foods and drinks, and typical products from all over the world will be available for sale along the Thuy Van Beach.
Organizers are hoping the festival will achieve a Guinness World Record as the cuisine festival with the longest area - more than three kilometers.
Thousands of people from different parts of the world are expected to participate in the carnival.
