Vietnam's first network control center (NCC) opened on August 9 in Hanoi, providing the "best" service to Pay TV subscribers in Vietnam after a year of test-airing.
According to the investor, An Vien Group, the NCC, considered the most advanced modern one of its kind in Southeast Asia, has a total investment capital of VND150 billion (US$7.5 million).
The center is equipped with 51 big display panels integrated with a system of servers and host computers with latest technology and a specialized operating system to control and access techno- infrastructure across the country.
According to Pham Nhat Vu, chairman of An Vien Group, the investor of Vinpearl and Vincom projects, "the institute serves not only as a TV signal quality supervisor but also provides better quality Pay TV network service at cheaper costs."
To provide the service, An Vien Group will also be the first provider in Vietnam to invest in a network probe to supervise program quality and signals received by TV subscribers.
NCC is located at 15AV, Ho Xuan Huong Street, Hanoi.
