Two Vietnamese artists, one of them from overseas, have been invited to a contemporary photo exhibition in South Korea.
The ASEAN-Korea Contemporary Photo Exhibition 2010, titled "˜Emerging Wave,' opened Thursday at Hangaram Art Museum under Seoul Arts Center. It will end May 23.
Le Kinh Tai, famous for oil paintings but also as a photographer, will represent Vietnam at the event. American-Vietnamese artist Richard Streitmatter-Tran will also show his work at the exhibition.
Tai sent ten photos to the exhibition and four have been chosen for the show, including Victory and Am anh 2 (Haunted No.2), both of which won photo contests in Austria.
The show in South Korea will gather artists from all ten ASEAN members: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Twenty seven artists from ASEAN and South Korea will participate in the annual exhibition after their artworks have been selected.
