Vietnamese journalist holds oversea charity photo exhibition

Tuoi Tre (Youth) Newspaper's senior photojournalist Trung Nghia organizes a photo exhibition in Melbourne, Australia from June 3-27.

The exhibition called Asia-Pacific in contrast compiles of 30 photos of Nghia's collection taken in Australia, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Macao, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam with various photographic themes.

According to his personal website, the exhibition aims to show the reality of the modernization of Asia, and gives a more respectful view toward people of the middle and lower classes.

The exhibition will donate all the profits to disadvantaged children and poor people in Melbourne and Vietnam. Nghia will collaborate with local pop star My Tam's charity foundation.

Trung Nghia specializes in music, fashion, sport and art events, and has travelled to Asia-Pacific, Africa, Europe, and Middle East. He is now based in Melbourne.

Nghia is one of very first local journalists recognized as an exclusive correspondent to report at many international events such as APEC Leaders Summit, FIFA World Cup, UEFA Cup, Festival de Cannes, Miss Universe, Australian Open and F1 Grand Prix.
