Vietnamese hairstylist Nguyen Hoang Hung uses two samurai swords to cut his clients' locks in his salon in Da Nang City.
Hung said he picked up his distinctive skill in 2010, when he was on a game show that required hairstylist to cut hair without using scissors. At first, he thought of using a sickle, but realized that it would do huge damage to hair. So he shifted his focus to Japanese samurai swords - and won the contest.
But it took him four years to really master the skill and became confident enough to practice on clients, Hung said.
The razor-sharp samurai sword allows him to achieve a light, feathered finish that scissors don't accommodate, Hung said.
