The Mr. and Miss Ao Dai Contest was held on November 16 at Ho Chi Minh City's Student Cultural House as part of this year's International Student Exchange Day.

The contest saw foreign students from different countries accompanied by Vietnamese students performing in ao dai (Vietnamese traditional long dress) costumes.

One boy and one girl partnered for three rounds of competition, which included an ao dai performance, a talent show and a question and answer section.

Vietnamese student Dao Thi Thao Phuong from University of Foreign Trade and Australian student Justin Kandiah were crowned the contest's winners. They performed the Vietnamese traditional folk song, "Beo dat may troi," for the talent show.

Organized by Foreign Trade University in Ho Chi Minh City, AIESEC, the world's largest student driven organization and HCMC's Student Cultural House, the International Student Exchange Day included the participation of students from more than ten countries.

With the aim of celebrating the cultural diversity and traditional beauty of each country, the event also included a "Talk Show," in which students openly shared their feelings and experiences.

At the Souvenir and Food Fair events, students were introduced to culinary specialties and traditional items from all the countries with participating representatives.
