An ongoing Vietnamese fashion show will continue through September 28 in the Italian city of Rome.

Collections from Vietnamese designers Minh Hanh, Lan Huong, Quang Nhat, Cong Khanh and Italian designer Michele Gaudiomonte have reportedly won high praise from the Italian press.

The founding of an Italy-Vietnam Fashion Council was announced during the cultural festival along with tentative plans to hold a show in Vietnam in December.

Italian designers will participate in Vietnam Spring fashion week 2015 which is scheduled to take place in Hanoi at the end of the year.

The newly-organized council also reported that it had selected a number of young Vietnamese designers to visit the global fashion capitol in the near future for advanced training.
