Sol Art, a Vietnamese children's choir, swept the 7th International Johannes Brahms Choir Competition & Festival, July 6-10 in Wernigerode, Germany.
The choir (37 singers aged six to 16) took the gold medal in the folklore category, during their first performance at the competition, The Thao & Van Hoa newspaper reported.
They were also awarded the audience prize, and the prize for most outstanding performance.
Prior to the Wernigerode awards, the Vietnamese group took a silver medal at the first Vietnam International Choir Festival held in March in the historic town of Hoi An, and a bronze medal at the World Choir Championship in Korea in 2009.
