Vietnamese action movie to take part in SFIAAFF

Bay rong (Clash), the martial arts film from Chanh Phuong Film Studio, will be shown at the San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival (SFIAAFF) later this month.

Actors Ngo Thanh Van and Johnny Tri Nguyen, will fly to Los Angeles and San Francisco on March 6 to promote the film at the festival, which will be held from March 10 to 20.

Bay rong, filmed in Vietnam and directed by Le Thanh Son in December 2009, tells a story of intrigue and violence in the Saigon underworld. The film has been lauded for its fast-paced action scenes.

First organized in 1982, SFIAAFF is considered the world's biggest festival for Asian and Asian-American films.
