The Miss Tourism International beauty pageant will be held in Vietnam's famous destination Ha Long Bay later this year.
A delegation of Malaysia-based D’ Touch International Sdn Bhd Foundation, which organizes the annual beauty contest, arrived in the UNESCO World Heritage Site today to inspect the location.
The delegation includes Datuk Danny Ooi, the contest president and franchise owner, as well as the present Miss Tourism International 2014 title holder, Faddya Isabel Halabi from Venezuela.
Ha Long Bay, located in northern Vietnam, hosted the national beauty pageant Miss Vietnam in 2010.

Thuy Nga, managing director of Elite Vietnam, which won a contract to bring the international contest to the country, said it took her three years to reach the final deal.
However, "the contest date will only be decided after this trip,” she said.
The 19-year annual contest was hosted in Malaysia almost every year, except in 2006 when it was held in Guanzhou, China.
