The Vietnam Spring-Summer Fashion Week 2012 will be held at the Daewoo Hotel in Hanoi from Nov 28 to 30, Vietnamplus newswire reported on Friday.
According to organizers, the Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group (VINATEX); and Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association, 700 latest designs by 25 local designers will be introduced at the three-day event.
Le Tien Truong, VINATEX's Deputy General Manager, said the fashion week aims to present latest trends, including new material, designs, designing technology, as well as trendy colors.
Vietnam's 15-year-old fashion industry has created more than 2 million jobs and several leading companies have emerged, including May 10, Viet Tien, Viet Thang, and Nha Be.
At present, local companies have built their names in domestic market, reversing an earlier trend of focusing only on exports.
Daewoo Hotel is located on 360 Kim Ma Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi.
