Vietnam metro to host Hong Kong Film Festival

Anthony Wong Chau Sang, also known as Huang Qiusheng, an award-winning actor, screenwriter and film director from Hong Kong will attend the global premiere of "Ip Man: The Final Fight" in Ho Chi Minh City on March 22.


The film's director, Herman Yau, will accompany Wong on his trip to Vietnam.


The action movie's premiere also kicks off the 2013 Hong Kong Film Festival, which will be held for the first time in HCMC from March 22 to 27.


The week-long event, hosted by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in ASEAN, aims to strengthen bilateral trade, investment and cultural exchange between Hong Kong and Vietnam.  


There will be ten Hong Kong films presented at the festival, including "Life without Principle, "Overheard," "The Viral Factor" and "Love in the Buff."

The films will be screened at BHD Star Cineplex Icon 68 at Bitexco ICON 68, 2 Hai Trieu Street in District 1. Free tickets for the films will be available two hours before the screening time at the cinema.
