Acclaimed Vietnamese designer Cong Tri will showcase his collection at the International Fashion Showcase 2013, set to take place from February 15 to 21 as a highlight of the prestigious London Fashion Week 2013, news website Vietnamplus reported Monday.

Selected by the British Council in Vietnam for the event, Cong Tri said he would present his brand new collection themed  "Nam Mushroom" to the audiences. The collection has strongly impressed Vietnamese audiences and fashion insiders in its debut at a national fashion show in January.

"Nam-Mushroom" takes its inspiration from the structure of combination of the mushroom as a unity consortium, said Tri.

"When observing mushrooms, I had the idea of stylizing dresses following mushrooms' details. I was inspired by the symmetrical layout of their structure, as well as the free and chaotic way they grow," Tri added.

Director of British Council Vietnam, Robin Rickard said the council was convinced by designer Tri's creation and believe that he will impress London fashion lovers.
