Hanoi-based Vinapo, owner of Vietnam's, the country's first-ever e-book store, has announced a plan to publish e-books for the overseas market.

The information was confirmed by Vinapo chairman Tran Trong Thanh.

Vinapo is working on publishing e-books in the ASEAN market, starting in Malaysia late this year with books written in Malaysian, English and Chinese. It will later expand its reach to Thailand and Singapore, he said.

The company has found in Sweden an international partner after joining the five-day Frankfurt Book Fair, an annual event held in Germany every October since 1949.

It has now finished the Swedish version of its online book store and is planning to have a trial run this June with 20,000 books.

Vinapo was the only foreign electronic book seller joining the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair held late April.
