A visitor at the Vietnamese culture exhibition in Florence, Italy
"Vietnam Days in Tuscany," part of Italy's "Vietnam Year," officially got underway April 17 with an exhibition about Vietnamese culture opening in Florence, Tuscany's capital city.
Organized by the Vietnamese Embassy in Italy, the exhibition features images of Vietnam during different periods of history, including traditional musical instruments and costumes, as well as documents and books relating to Vietnamese tourism, news website Vietnamplus reported Thursday.
Events for "Vietnam Days in Tuscany," which mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Italy, will last until April 28, and are aimed at promoting cultural exchanges and strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
A series of cultural activities will take place, including a photography exhibit, craft fair and art program, as well as a fashion show and a forum on Vietnam-Italy economic cooperation.
