Hanoi police on Wednesday is seeking to charge an actress for resisting officers, which carries a maximum penalty of 3 years' imprisonment, after she was accused of attacking police officers in February.
Tran Thi Trang, 30, was taken into custody on February 27 after she insulted and slapped some traffic police officers who had flagged down a taxi she was in for driving the wrong way down a one-way street.
Later, after being taken to the police station for questioning, Trang was seen hurling insults at officers in a video clip that went viral online.
The model-turned-actress, who is better known as Trang Tran, later appologized, claiming she was drunk and could not control herself.
She was released on March 2, pending investigation.
