US-born beauty to represent Vietnam at Miss World contest

Miss Vietnam World 2010's second runner-up Victoria Pham Thuy Vy will represent the country at Miss World 2011 this November in London.

 

According to the Department of Performing Arts, the Vietnamese representative, who born in the U.S. in 1990, will compete with nearly 120 candidates worldwide.

 

The UC Berkeley student, who was Miss Asia in the contest held in California two years ago, stands 1.71 meter tall with vital statistics of 83-60-88 cms.

 

She is expected to do well in the contest, given her good looks and fluent command of English.

 

Organizers of the world paegant have said the number of candidates this year is a record, marking the contest's 60th year.

 

The final night of the Miss World contest will take place on November 6.
