A new documentary film project on wars Vietnam has had to fight since the 19th century will feature hitherto unused information taken from archival records, it was announced in Ho Chi Minh City on Sep 1.
The film project, titled Chien tranh Vietnam qua tai lieu luu tru (Vietnam wars through archives), will be broadcast in 2013 in 25 episodes.
The series will be produced by Dong Nai Television in cooperation with National Archive Center No.2 and the Movie Archives and Arts study center in Ho Chi Minh City.
The series will use rare documents with the National Archive Center No.2's rare that have not been made public yet as it presents wars in Vietnam from the time the country was taken over by French colonials in the 19th century to the end of the Vietnam War in 1975.
According to Mai Song Be, director of Dong Nai Television, each episode will highlight a special event at a certain period of the nation's war history.
