Super Model 2013 wins Miss Ao Dai Vietnam 2014

Tran Ngoc Lan Khue, who won Vietnam's Supermodel Contest 2013, was crowned Miss Ao Dai Vietnam 2014 beauty pageant in the final on January 5.
Born 1992, the student of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Science and Humanities defeated 11 other contestants to win the crown worth VND1 billion (nearly US$50,000) and a prize of VND100 million in cash.
Miss World 2011 Ivian Sarcos from Venezuela, presented the crown to Lan Khue at a glitzy gala held in the southern metro and broadcast live on Vietnam Television’s VTV3 channel.
The Ho Chi Minh City beauty, who stands 1.76 meter tall with a measurement of 84-60-88, will represent Vietnam at the Miss World 2015 competition.
The first runner-up was Pham Hong Thuy Van from Ho Chi Minh City and the second runner-up was Nguyen Thi Le Quyen from the Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu. Thuy Van and Le Quyen will represent Vietnam in competing at the Miss International 2015 and the Miss Supranational 2015 respectively.
Miss Ao Dai Vietnam 2014 was the country’s first reality television show for beauties, organized by the Vietnam Television in cooperation with BHD and Elite Vietnam.
VTV6 channel had been broadcasting the competition since October 22, which involved 18 contestants. The beauties were required to stay in the ‘Beauty Castle’ where they took part in training courses run by leading Vietnamese and international experts. After nine live shows over the past two months,12 were selected for the finale.
Elite Vietnam will continue to train the three winning beauties to prepare for the upcoming international contests.
