Spratlys photo exhibition in Hanoi aims to raise public awareness

A photo exhibition on the Truong Sa (Spratlys) archipelago by photographer Vu Anh Tuan will open in Hanoi on August 8.

A Vietnamplus newswire report says that the exhibition, called "Cam xuc Truong Sa" (Truong Sa emotions), is organized by the Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper and sponsored by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists (VAPA).

It has 68 photos categorized into three parts: landscapes, soldiers at work, studying, and training; and sudden moments.

The displayed artworks are selected from thousands of photos taken by the photographer during his trip to Truong Sa last April.

The exhibition aims to raise awareness and arouse patriotism among Vietnamese people .

Photographer Vu Anh Tuan is member of VAPA and International Federation of Art Photography (FIAP).

Cam xuc Truong Sa, open until August 14 at Exhibition House, 93 Dinh Tien Hoang Street, is his first solo exhibition.

After the exhibition, the photos will be donated to the Vietnam Naval High Command.
