Forty traditional Vietnamese singers will perform in Hanoi on October 2 to celebrate the capital's 1,000th anniversary.
The singers will put on 32 pieces that celebrate Hanoi in some way. The show will coincide with a series of fashion demonstrations featuring traditional costumes like ao dai (long tunic), and ao tu than (four-part dress).
Three pairs of seasoned emcees will host the festival.
While the event is held by VTC in collaboration with Thanh Hoa Concert Joint-Stock Company, it was initiated by the singers themselves, all of whom wanted to pay tribute to the city that had nurtured their talents.
The Ha Noi dep mai muon doi (Forever beautiful Hanoi) festival is expected to be broadcast live from the Au Co Theater at 8 Huynh Thuc Khang Street.
