Vietnam's hottest singers will participate in a half-week of charity activities at the fourth annual Singers' Day Festival in the central town of Quy Nhon this month.
No less than 200 singers from across the country will make appearances at the event in Binh Dinh Province beginning January 18.
Several of the country's top composers, television hosts and dancers will also participate in the festival, which aims to raise money for the local Binh Dinh fund called Vi nguoi ngheo (For the Poor).
Binh Dinh was ravaged by storms and floods this year, and the artists hope to help by auctioning their own personal items and donating the proceeds to the fund.
Since its inception in 2006, Singers' Day raised VND100 million (US$5,500) in Da Nang, VND400 million ($22,200) in Nha Trang and over VND1 billion ($55,500) in Binh Thuan.
