The Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers will join people all around the world in switching off their lights for an hour in observance of Earth Hour.

On March 26 at 8:30 p.m., the hotel will turn off exterior signage lighting, dim or turn off non-essential interior lighting and use candlelight in appropriate public areas such as restaurants and bars.

Earth Hour, the global environmental awareness event created by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), started in 2007 in Sydney, Australia when 2.2 million homes and businesses turned their lights off to raise awareness of climate change.

Since then, the event has spread all over the globe.
