Every Saturday, Café Rivoli at Sofitel Saigon Plaza Hotel offers fresh seafood with French flavors and style.

The high ceilings of the French-style restaurant complement hanging silk decorations and comfortable rattan chairs.

Chef Matt Coates steams, braises, stews and fries seafood in a lively open kitchen at the back of the café. The seafood dinner promotion includes a wide variety of shellfish, oysters, shrimp, fish, salmon and lobster. If you have a soft corner for lobsters, head to the buffet for an all-you-can-eat special on the meaty crustaceans.

"Each dish has been carefully chosen in order to offer the freshest and finest delicacies to our guests," said chef Coates.

Among special summer treats are eight delightful fresh salads. "The salad selection here is classic. Lots of fruits and vegetables together with interesting sauces and herbs make for a delightful culinary experience. I'm especially fond of the salmon cake with caviar on the surface," said Ha Tran, a café customer and fashion designer.

 Menu highlights include home-style Japanese delicacies, and a dessert counter complete with a hot chocolate fountain, traditional Vietnamese fruit salad and a range of cheesecakes.

A free flow of wine, beer, and soft drinks are served to all seafood buffet customers.

The dinner costs VND850,000++ per adult, and VND450,000++ per child (aged 6-11). Children under five eat for free.

The promotion is available every Saturday from 7-10:30 p.m. at Café Rivoli in Sofitel Saigon Plaza.
